The LEAD Program supports the Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment Hub (GenDev), based in USAID’s Bureau for Inclusive Growth, Partnerships, and Innovation (IPI), in promoting equality and women’s empowerment across USAID’s program cycle. LEAD has the following four objectives: (1) Provide collaborative, multi-sectoral integration technical assistance to USAID operating units; (2) Promote thought leadership and the development of knowledge products and learning; (3) Build connectivity and enhance knowledge sharing platforms for Agency and external stakeholders; and (4) Support learning and partnership through small grants to local and under-utilized partners focused on promoting equality and deconstructing harmful social norms and behaviors.
