ECODIT Awarded Power Africa Initiative Support Mechanism Activity

ECODIT is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the Power Africa Initiative Support Mechanism Activity (PAISM). This five-year USAID project will provide comprehensive support to the Power Africa Coordinator’s Office, including in the areas of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL), Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting (CLA), as well as data services. ECODIT will assist with portfolio-level monitoring, and conduct impact and performance evaluations. In alignment with Power Africa’s commitment to fostering a culture of learning, ECODIT will also design and implement a comprehensive CLA plan that will leverage Power Africa’s evidence base to inform continuous improvement and programmatic success.

Power Africa is a U.S. government-led initiative designed to increase access to electricity across sub-Saharan Africa. With a goal of adding 60 million new electricity connections and 30,000 megawatts of cleaner, renewable energy by 2030, the initiative seeks to drive transformative change in the region’s energy landscape.

ECODIT is proud of its established and ongoing partnership with Power Africa, and has been implementing the Power Africa Data and Technical Support (DTS) Services Activity. For DTS, ECODIT manages the to Power Africa Tracking Tool, ensuring the accurate collection, verification, and reporting of data on Power Africa transactions. In addition, ECODIT provides technical guidance on energy sector issues critical to Power Africa’s mission, including strategic analyses of key topics shaping the future of the energy sector in sub-Saharan Africa.
